Post Track Reccomendations
Just got a 2008 800 MXZ adrenaline this year. Took it for a quick ride over the weekend and absolutely loved it! The concern I have is the 120 X 15 X 1" track, I am used to riding a ski-doo with a larger track and found this one to spin an awful lot, especially during slow speeds (crawling up hills, bumps, etc..). I am thinking about upgrading to 1.25" or maybe even 1.5" although I think that is a bit too big. I do a lot of riding in Clarenville and I have to use the groomed trail system to get anywhere, so big paddles will make for a shitty ride on that. But on the other side I leave the trails a lot, do a lot of ungroomed riding and have two trips to the west coast this year with the machine. There will be people on this board with more experience and knowledge then me, so what would you suggest? Most people have suggested either 1.5" or a 1.25" with studs, but I don't want to deal with the studs.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

With that much power and a short track I'd go 1.5" lug for Sure. Camoplast Rip Saw or Intense, I prefer non studded tracks. No lugs to come flying out, none to damage the tunel due to a loose track, less rotating mass, and less chance of being serioulsy hurt if your ran over by your own machine.

I have a 2008 800r with a pre-studded track and with 1.25 inch lug and find it awsome. But if I had to recommened a really good track That is good for all around purposes it would be the 1.325 cobra. I have heard great reviews on this track. Just my thoughts.Only reason I do not have this track is I got a wicked deal on the track I have. $963.00 new. as compared to $300 with only 600 miles on it. SWEEEEEET.

Thanks for the help. I have priced it all up, but only at a couple places (Bruce's recreation in Clarenville and Fun'n'fast). Is there anywhere else people go for good service or good prices? I am going to have a look at a couple tracks to see whether I go 1.25" or 1.5".

For a new track I woulden't settle for any less that 1.5". That will not be an issue to run. I know of an 800r with a 1 3/4" track, seems like a bit much for me but if there is lots of snow and it fits on the sled with no running issues well.................... I've only see the intense track and they seem to be a good comprimise between two hard and two soft.

As indicated, see Terry for new track.
